With an enthusiastic and curious audience in attendance, the second publishing project by the group of volunteers with expertise in gathering and using Erbi spontanei made its debut at La Versiliana, an iconic venue and a dream destination for many writers and authors.

During the presentation, hosted by journalist Fabrizio Diolaiuti—himself a long-time advocate of the tradition of foraging and using Erbi spontanei—the passionate authors shared the story of how they decided to publish these two volumes and spread their passion with friends and anyone eager to discover this unique local heritage.

Their enthusiasm did not stop with the publication of the books. It also inspired everyone involved to support overseas medical missions dedicated to treating children with congenital heart disease in countries where access to such care is virtually nonexistent unless provided by international volunteer teams. All proceeds from the publishing initiative will be donated to Un Cuore Un Mondo to help fund pediatric cardiac surgery missions scheduled for the end of this year.

Dr. Luigi Arcieri, now a pediatric cardiac surgeon at Niguarda Hospital in Milan, spoke about the experiences he shared with Un Cuore Un Mondo during medical missions in Eritrea. His testimony highlighted how volunteer work, sustained by charitable initiatives, remains the truest driving force behind cooperation between nations—understood above all as cooperation with the people who benefit from medical care—because it is free from political and economic interests.

Every child has the right to receive medical care, and volunteers work to ensure that no differences exist between children simply because they were born in different countries.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Daniele Lazzerini—the driving force behind the initiative—as well as to Fabrizio, Erika, Francesco, Leone, Fernando, and the legendary Robé the Barber, whose warmth and infectious enthusiasm have made him a beloved ambassador of these treasures of the local territory.

A heartfelt thank you to ASD Romagnano – Romagnano Youth Sector for the incredibly generous donation drive they delivered to us in recent days.

Not only children’s products, but also a large quantity of food items intended for the families hosted in our reception homes.

A concrete act of kindness that makes us proud of the strong network of solidarity that connects us to this community.

Our sincere thanks go to all the families who took part in the collection, and to the organizers for thinking of our Association.

❤️

Thank you to sport, which every day proves to be much more than just a game: a place where solidarity, care, and attention for others can truly grow.

On Saturday, February 21st, we enjoyed a wonderful evening of sharing between our Association, represented by its director, Enrica Legname, and the Municipal Council of Castelraimondo, in the Marche region.
The meeting was the brainchild of Carmen Lavinia Negulescu, the mother of a child with heart disease and deeply connected to our association and our “Ospedale del Cuore.”
Her desire to transform a personal experience into an opportunity for many gave rise to a genuine moment of discussion and dialogue.
It was a valuable evening, not only for sharing what we do every day alongside the families of children with heart disease, but above all for building new connections, strengthening collaborations, and laying the foundations for concrete projects.

We shared ideas, perspectives, and common goals, with the desire to create an increasingly strong network in the area,

capable of supporting families who, like Carmen, are forced to travel many kilometers from home to ensure care and hope for their children.

We sincerely thank Mayor Patrizio Leonelli, Councilor Ilenia Citadini, and Regional Councilor Renzo Marinelli for their attention and interest.

“Let’s keep building our network — the greatest opportunities come from unity.”
